Allogeneic Peripheral Stem Cell Transplantation

Bone marrow transplantation is most commonly used for the therapy of a wide variety of neoplastic and nonmalignant disorders. Peripheral blood stem cells (PBSCs) are widely used in autologous transplantation because of easy collection and rapid hematopoietic recovery. However, in the allogeneic setting the use of PBSCs has been delayed. The goal is to achieve engraftment and hematopoietic recovery and avoid the development of graft versus host disease. For patients transplanted for malignant disease, another important component is the immune mediate graft versus leukemia effect. In this report, we summarize data regarding the allogeneic peripheral stem cell transplantation.

Allogeneik Periferik Kök Hücre Transplantasyonu

Kemik iliği transplantasyonu malign ve malign olmayan farklı bir çok hastalık tedavisinde kullanılmaktadır. Kolay hücre toplama ve hızlı hematopoietik toparlanma nedeniyle otolog transplantasyonlarda periferik kök hücre (PKH) genişçe kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Bununla birlikte allogeneik uygulamda PKH kullanımı gecikmiştir. Transplantasyonda hedef engraftman elde etmek ve graft versus host hastalığı gelişiminden kaçınmaktır. Malign hastalıklar için allotransplantasyon yapılanlarda diğer önemli bir komponent de graft versus lösemi etkisidir. Burada allogeneik periferik kök hücre nakli ile ilgili çalışmaların bir özeti yapılacaktır.
