A Review of Effects Of Low-Level Laser Therapy On Bisphosphonate-Related Jaw Necrosis

Seeking different therapeutic options for clinical success in bisphosphonate-related jaw necrosis, the treatment of which may be considered difficult, is an ongoing issue for a long time. The use of low level laser therapy in jaw necrosis has been among the alternative treatment options for the last 11 years. However, it remains unclear if low level laser therapy is indeed a single treatment or a supportive therapy. Thus, in this literature review, the outcomes of applications of low level laser therapy performed for the treatment of bisphosphonate-related jaw necrosis between 2006 and 2017 are presented.

Bifosfonatlarla İlişkili Çene Kemiği Nekrozunda Düşük Doz Lazer Terapisinin Etkisi Üzerine Durum Değerlendirmesi

Bifosfonata bağlı gelişen çene osteonekrozları, tedavisi oldukça zor olabilen, klinik başarı için farklı arayışlar uzun zamandır devam eden bir konudur. Düşük doz lazer terapisinin çene osteonekrozlarında kullanımı son 11 yıldır alternatif tedavi seçenekleri arasında yer almaktadır. Fakat gerçekten tek başına ya da destekleyici bir tedavi yöntemi mi olduğu netleşmemiştir. Bu nedenle bu literatür derlemesinde bifosfonata bağlı gelişen çene nekrozlarının tedavisinde 2006-2017 yılları arasında yapılan düşük seviyeli lazer terapi uygulamalarının sonuçları sunulmuştur.
