Examination of Nursing Diagnoses Levels in Surgical Diseases Nursing Lesson Practices of Nursing Students

INTRODUCTION: This descriptive study was conducted to determine the nursing diagnoses that nursing students identified in patients who were given care in clinical practice of surgical diseases nursing course.
METHODS: The study universe consisted of all Çukurova University Faculty of Health Sciences second year students who were continuing their education during the 2015-2016 educational year and took the surgicals Disease Nursing course (290).The data were collected by the data collection form used by the students in patient care and the examination of the 304 nursing care plan prepared by the students. In the evaluation of the data, the nursing care plan was evaluated by using the diagnosis list in which the NANDA diagnoses were given to the students and descriptive statistics were used.
RESULTS: The students who participated in the study identified a total of 1558 nursing diagnoses in 304 cases. Among these diagnoses, 5 diagnoses were most commonly diagnosed in 71.1% of infections, 66.8% of pain, 41.1% of anxiety, 32.3% of deterioration of skin integrity and 31.2% of sleep disorders in surgical clinics.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: As a result, it can be said that the diagnoses identified by the students in the nursing care plans were more focused on the physiological field which was easy to see and couldn’t analyse the data as provided the holistic nursing care. In this context, clinical case examples that will help the students to see the data holistically will be useful for the preparation of the nursing profession.

Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Cerrahi Hastalıkları Hemşireliği Dersi Uygulamalarında Hemşirelik Tanılarını Belirleme Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu araştırma hemşirelik öğrencilerinin, cerrahi hastalıkları hemşireliği dersi uygulamasında bakımını üstlendikleri hastalarda saptadıkları NANDA hemşirelik tanılarının belirlenmesi amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır.
YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Araştırmanın evrenini Çukurova Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesinde, 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılında öğrenim gören, cerrahi hastalıkları hemşireliği dersi alan ikinci sınıf öğrencilerinin tamamı (290) oluşturmuş ve örneklem seçimine gidilmemiştir. Veriler öğrencilerin hasta bakımında kullandıkları veri toplama formu ve öğrencilerin hazırladığı 304 hemşirelik bakım planının incelenmesi ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde hemşirelik bakım planı öğrencilere önceden verilen NANDA tanılarının bulunduğu tanı listesinden yararlanılarak değerlendirilmiş, tanımlayıcı istatistik kullanılmıştır.
BULGULAR: Çalışmaya katılan öğrenciler 304 vakada toplam 1558 hemşirelik tanısı belirlemiştir. Bu tanılar içinde cerrahi kliniklerde en sık saptanan 5 tanı %71.1 enfeksiyon riski, %66.8 ağrı, %41.1 anksiyete, %32.3 deri bütünlüğünde bozulma ve %31.2 uyku düzeninde bozukluk olmuştur.
TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Öğrencilerin belirledikleri tanıların kolay görülebilen daha çok fizyolojik alana odaklı olduğu, verileri bütüncül hemşirelik bakımını sağlayacak şekilde analiz edemediklerini göstermektedir.
Bu bağlamda, hastanın verilerine bütüncül bakmasını sağlayacak klinik vaka örneklerinin öğrencilerin mesleğe hazırlanması açısından yararlı olacağı düşünülmektedir.
